This website brings you the highlights of a journey
– WAYMARKERS that have led to a more sustainable way of life for my family and many of my clients. Sustainable living is the goal, but as they say, it´s the adventures one has discovering solutions to life´s challenges and unsustainable problems that make the journey what life is about. My name is Jonathan Eveleigh. My partner is Jennie. I have three children. In the 1990s I became dissatisfied with where society was headed and the limited possibilities for personal creativity, for self-building on a budget, for creating a lighter footprint, for ecological and genuine cooperative living. What began as a way of learning to be more self-reliant, learning bush craft and survival skills became a passion that led me from solar powered internet and community radio to installing grid-connected wind and solar in the UK via the DTI Clear Skies grant scheme for my clients and more recently to building our own traditional earth house and practising self-sufficiency in Alentejo, Portugal.
Creating a sustainable food source
After 10 years at it I am learning that a more sustainable way of life can be both more prosperous with our global potential for trade and exchange and more naturally resourced from our local environment, we can be more independent and free, we get to be more connected to each other in our neighbourhood communities and we get to be less competitive and more creative in our way of living and being human together.

Uno de mis trabajos es el de creación de espacios habitables. Estoy interesado en conseguir vateres secos de biolet para montarlas en yurtas modernas, gers de Mongolia y otros espacios habitables.Dentro de un mes me voy a vivir a una yurta moderna por lo que necesito un vater para mi en un par de semanas. Boa tarde.Pelo facto de não poder participar dos eventos,formações e destes encontros de partilha de conhecimentos,eu nutro um grande interesse em poder viver numa Eco-Aldeia no centro do país.Tenho 51 anos,2 filhas de 9 anos e encontro-me desempregada.Sendo este ano um período de transição,gostaria de poder fazer a minha mudança.Sózinha,eu não consigo comprar uma quinta mas,gostaria de viver e partilhar com outros casais com conhecimentos acerca de permacultura,agricultura biolóica e vida sustentável. Eu apenas posso dar o meu trabalho e aprender com quem sabe.Amo a natureza e a liberdade.E considero que a mudança,está na união, na partilha,na inter-ajuda e trabalharmos no mesmo sentido e com os mesmos objectivos para se evitar as dependências e a destruição da natureza.A única coisa que eu tenho,é um apartamento t2 onde vivo e que tenho a venda.Enquanto não o vender,posso sempre alugar.É a informação neste sentido que estou a precisar e que não consigo encontrar.Eu sou uma mulher de trabalho e interessada em obter conhecimentos sobre vida sustentável.Se alguém quer vender parcela de quinta com casa eco pequena eu estou interessada em comprar porque posso pedir dinheiro ao banco dando como garantia o meu apartamento.Ou então um aluguer simbólico em troca de serviços prestados até conseguir vender o apartamento.Desde logo fico muito grata pelos esclarecimentos que me possam abonar.
